The Global Trader Summit 2007 was held from 24-25 May at Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore.
Themed "Sustaining Leadership in Global Trading", GTS 07 addressed major trends and fundamental issues such as Commodity as a New Asset Class, Freight Risk Management, Carbon Trading, Attracting and Retaining Talents, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
An elite and exclusive, by-invitation-only conference for those at the pinnacle of the international trading community, the highly successful event was attended by over 200 top business leaders and key decision makers from the world's leading energy, metals, and agri-commodities companies, among others. The two-day event also featured a series of panel discussions with top executives from financial institutions, consultancy firms and logistics firms to examine the challenges faced by and growth opportunities for the international commodity players.
Singapore's Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang, was the Guest-of-Honour and delivered the Opening Address for the event.
